I have arrived in Japan. The plane ride went well, just my right blocking up and giving me a huge headache on the first part of my trip. I had to take 2 planes to get here. In all it took me about 18 hours to arrive at my destination. To get to my apartment, I took an express train to Shinjuku. On the way I was able to see the surrounding environment and cities. I was wide-eyed the whole way. If you saw me you would think I was a kid in a candy store. Finally, I got to see my place and it looks nice. Plus bigger, than I originally expected, which was a welcome suprise. The only problem is that there are ambulances passing by every hour. A lot of people seem to get hurt around here. As you can see so far so good. I will be back with more soon.

Tomorrow is the D-day
August 22, 2007Tomorrow morning my Japanese adventure will start. I will get on the plane at 8h30 and will be in the air for a total of 16 hours. During this time, I will to change flights once and arrive at my destination at 4h10 pm on Friday. If everything goes well. I am stressed about my trip, but, also, anxious to get it started and to be in Tokyo to start my new life. I don’t know when I will get internet at my place, but I will look for some hotspots in the near by cafés to keep everyone posted on how I am doing.
See you then
